BIRNS,Inc., a leading manufacturer of high-performance underwater lighting and connector systems, is looking for an energetic Design Engineer.
Your duties include the design and development of underwater lights and underwater connectors and cable assemblies. You will work with a growing, dynamic design group and support staff, and you will design for manufacturability, performance and cost. You have a BS/MS in a related Engineering discipline and 10 years' experience functioning in the above responsibilities. You demonstrate design skill, analysis of complex technical problems, and good understanding of relevant engineering principles (especially mechanics and thermal properties of metals and glasses). You have the ability to calculate static stress load and thermal conduction, and you can use parametric solid modeling software. You have the drive to completion on schedule, and are profit-minded and dedicated. You have excellent time management skills.
