One position is senior level (Associate/Full professor with tenure) and one is junior level (tenure track Assistant Professor) Starting dates are negotiable. We are searching for applicants with research interests in the development of new measurement, observation, and exploration technologies that are central to improved ecosystem management, resource sustainability, and environmental health monitoring. Of particular interest are researchers involved with: in situ sensors and nano-material sensing systems for nutrients and biological compounds; acoustic systems and micro-fluidics. Applicants must hold a PhD at the time of appointment. Post-doctoral experience is desirable. The successful candidate is expected to conduct an active, internationally recognized, externally funded research program. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate level courses in their field of expertise, and advise graduate student thesis projects. Research and education is integrated across four essential themes: freshwater system dynamics; human and ecosystem health; freshwater technology; and freshwater economics, policy, and management. In pursuing these multidisciplinary themes, SFS works with a wide range of partners inside and outside the university.
